NX OS Switchport Question

I have taken over management of a small network with a Nexus 7010 as the core router and I am new to the NX-OS world. I am trying to add an allowed vlan onto an interface but when I go into the interface to add a "switchport trunk allowed vlan" I dont get that option. The only option available under the switchport command is "host".

I am sure I am missing something really simple, but I have no idea what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Travis,

Welcome to the Nexus world. It's a great one. :-) The most likely problem you have is that your interface is not yet in "switchport" mode. Try to execute the "switchport" command with no other options, and then you will most likely be able to add a "switchport tunk allowed vlan".
