i'm starting doing basic  ospf lab (image below) , I enable ospf protocol in both DS1 and DS2 router  in all interfaces .

according to my own understand of the working routing table , normaly the ping command from DS2 to 192.168.15.1  should work in this scenario .but is not the case , but when we activate ospf in access1 , the ping from DS1 to 192.168.15.1 is Ok

can you explain me why this happen , Why we can't sucess ping in case 1

Hello,

Most probably, the ping fails because without OSPF, Access1 does not know the route back to 100.100.100.2 when trying to reply. If you run OSPF on Access1, or configure it with a static default route towards DS1, Access1 should be able to respond.

Best regards,

Peter

Thanks for your explanation, now I understand this behavior.
