Packet Drops When Stack Member Powered ON _Cisco 3650

HI someone help me to clarify  about switch stack.

Two cisco 3650 switches (Denali 16.3.6) running as a single stack, we noticed as when if any switch (currently Powered Off) in the stack is powered ON and join the stack, then we are getting 10 continuous packet drops to remote BO and DMZ network and vice versa (DMZ is configured on firewall, firewall LAN and DMZ interface connected to switch stack, so inter vlan routing handled by firewall).

My query is that is there any packet drops happen if a earlier powered OFF stack member is Powering ON and join to the stack?

Hi,

That should not be the case with a member switch. You may want to deploy  "stack-mac persistent timer x

and see if that makes any difference.

I agree with Reza.
There should be a continuous traffic when a member joins the stack. I do recall reading a Bug ID about a behaviour like this.
I recommend raising a TAC Case.
