Hello Everyone,
on a layer 2 switch cluster of 3560s without a management VLAN IP address should I be able to ping devices connected to the switch? Devices can ping each other but I can't get a ping response with I try to ping anything from the switch.
Thanks in advance. All replies rated

Wouldn't think so. How would the device you are trying to ping know where to respond back to without an IP?

It's not possible to ping from the switch without an IP configured (management vlan). If an IP is configured on the switch, ip default-gateway is required in order to ping a device in another subnet than the management vlan.
3560 has L3 capabilities but you can use the switch as L2 switch (no ip routing).
