I 'm using console cable com1. connect to switch, (layer 2 switch), in configuration, I put under VLAN100, ip address 10.50.1.81 255.255.255.0, and no ip address for vlan 1,
in int f0/2, I key in following command:
switchport trunk native vlan 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10, 100
switchport mode trunk
mls qos trust dscp
now in this switch, ping 10.50.1.81, fail
copy run tftp, I put ip address of tftp 10.50.1.81, also fail
I install cisco tftp server in my windows terminal, then this windows terminal connect to the switch through com1 console cable. when tftp sevrver is installed, it shows ip 192.168.1.1

show int trunk, no display, totally empty, show vlan. int f0/3 still belongs to vlan 1 not vlan 100

is vlan 100 up/up when you check it ?
are you directly connected to this switch and your trying to tftp an image onto it?
Is vlan 100 created at layer 2 as well as ;l3 interface
can you post your config , remove any security config

for a vlan to be up/up there needs to be certain things set
can you confirm its created at layer 2 and its showing in the database
vlan 100
name xxx
The interface will not come up without it
as well as port needs to be configured for vlan 100 that is up/up with something connected pc/server etc and and a valid stp instance
