Hi all,
I am using solarwind monitoring to monitor my network equipment. My solarwind monitoring application server is currently set to use ping to monitor 6 network switches(cisco 3850) for device availability. It is configure to ping the management ip addresses of the switches. THe management ip addresses of these 6 network switches sit behind a firewall. I am able to do continuous successful ping from my solarwind application server to all my switches except for 1 switch which kept having many ping drop. For this particular switch i have verified there is no issue with crc/runts/errors, txload and rxload looks fine too. Can anyone advise how i can troubleshoot? TIA!

Hi,
Is SolarWinds (NPM) able to pull the device via SNMP?
Also, can you post the output of "sh run" from the switch with this issue?

hi,
is the switch trunk speed/duplex set to auto/auto?
try changing its patch cable for a start.
