Port Channel Config

Hi,

I have 6509 switches configured with ether-channels for uplinks.  I want to add logging event link-status to the uplink ports.  I have added the config to the port channels but I notice the change does not automatically push down to the physical, bundled interfaces.  Should I be making this config change to the physical interfaces as well as the port channel?  I am worried about playing with the physical interfaces...

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Adding it to the physical interfaces should not cause any issue.  The config guide shows it being done globally, physical interface and sub-interface.
