Port doesdonot come up at all

Hi All,

I have two switches 6506 and 2950 switch

on 6506 i have created two vlan 2 amd 3 and is in server mode.

on 2950 i have also created created vlan 2 3 and 4 and is in transparent mode.

I have assigned  port 12 of both the switch to vlan 3 and connected a cable between both switches and it is working well

But when i  assign port 11 of both switches to vlan  2 and connect a cable .port 11 of 2950 doesnot blink at all.

Is there any speed or duplex mismatch?

Hi,

Are you using correct cable because 2950 doesn't support autoMDIx.

Can you post config of port 12 and 11 on both switches.

as well as sh int status for 12 and 11 on both .
