Hi All,
Ok One thing i needed to know is Why the learned MAC address changes from DYNAMIC to STATIC when we apply port security on any port?
Any particular reason for this behavior?

Hey That happens when you apply sticky it becomes a secure mac either learnt by the port or manually specified by user to become have sticky mac bound to port
sticky
This command is executed in interface configuration mode and configures the port to dynamically learn the MAC address and automatically configure the MAC address as a static MAC address associated with the port. |

But Mark i didnt apply a Mac address sticky command! i only applied the following two commands:
# interface gig 0/1
# switchport port-security
# switchport port-security maximum 5
I did not give any sticky related command.... Yet i see STATIC in the "show mac address-table" command.
