Problem with N2K FEX and Switches connection

Hello,

I have read about N2K problem to connect LAN switches because of it has BPDU filter enabled by default. Ok, this is clear. I have tried to create an aggregate between the switch and the N2K, I mean, a port-channel in active mode. Configuration would be:

Switch to connect:

gi0/22, gi0/23: port-channel 1 in trunk configuration

N2K (I have two N2K as aggregation switches):

extremes where Switch connect from gi0/22---->depends from N2K_1

extreme where Switch connect from gi0/23---->depends from N2K_2

both extremes form a port-channel 173 in trunk configuration

Result is extremes on N2K_1 and N2K_2 (the two N2248 I have) show as bpdugrfEr:

Nx5k_1(config-sync-sp-if)# do sh inter ether104/1/15 status

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Port          Name               Status    Vlan      Duplex  Speed   Type
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eth104/1/15   "SW_Blade3_R6"     bpdugrdEr trunk     full    auto    --

Nx5k_1# sh inter ether103/1/15 status

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Port          Name               Status    Vlan      Duplex  Speed   Type
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eth103/1/15   "SW_Blade3_R6"     bpdugrdEr trunk     full    auto    --

Do you know if there is a way to get the connection via a port-channel of Switch to N2K FEX?

Thank you very much in advance.

What is also remarkable is that status of members of port-channel in both extremes stay as suspended. And I have tried to shutdown the interfaces. And to take them up again but the status does not change. Status remains: "Operational status: Down".

Thank you.

What I don't want is to disable bpduguard filter as it is a prevention mechanism.

Fex are for host connections not for up linking switches, only thing i think you could try is knock of stp on switch side , i have never tested that though and its going against its design

Yes, Mark. That is what I have read about. Then I suppose there is no way to get the port-channel up. Well, I have done some trying more and no possible to get link up. In fact, desactivating bpduguard (spanning-tree bpduguard disable), members of port-channel stay as "Unknown" status, but not go up.

Ok, I will connect my switches to another switches, not to the N2K FEX.

Thank you for your answer.
