Problem with Nexus 5672UP and Nexus 2248PQ

Hello,

I can't find any documentation on whether the following configuration is supported.  I'm connecting a 2248PQ to a Nexus 5672UP via a 12 fiber MPO cable with a FET-40G on each end.  I know I have to breakout the 40G ports on the switch into 4x10G.  I did that command on the first 3 ports of the switch and rebooted but the interfaces will not come up.  Should this physical connection work between the FEX and switch?

Hi,

If it is 40Gig on both sides with MPO connectors, than you don't need to break the cable to 4 10Gig.

If one side is 40 and the other side is 10 than you need the breakout cable.

Can you clarify?
