Just yesterday my 5596UP was updated with 7.1(4)N1(1) The update went well. However, since the update was completed and switch restart, I am attempting to configure port security with a static mac address.
When I try the "sho mac add int eth 1/4", I get the following error "ERROR: interface does not exist"
When I try to input a mac address with the following command "switchport port-security mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx" I get the following error "ERROR:MAC address is not configured or cannot be removed"
Same results on all switches that were updated with the new version.
All these commands were functioning correctly and used many times before the OS update.
