Problems with route decision

Hi I have a router 1760 directly connected to a 1721 that is working with modems in asynchronous serial interfaces. When the router 1721 is connected to the network there is a problem with packet delivery in the 1760, even when it has the a specific network directly connected it is not able to deliver the packet correctly and drops it. When the router 1721 is disconnected the problem is solved inmediatly.

I do not know if there can be a problem of ICMP redirects or what else can cause this issue.

This issue sounds to me to more likely be a conflict of IP addressing or of routing logic than it is of ICMP redirect - although at this point we do not have enough information to rule out anything.

If you could post the output of show ip interface brief and of show ip route from the 1760 when the 1721 is not connected and then the output of those commands when the 1721 is connected it would be helpful. It would also help to see the output of show ip route from the 1721 when it is connected.
