PVST Behaviour With Different VLANs on Different Switches of A Layer 2 Network

I have a very basic question regarding PVST. Consider the following topology:

PVST Email.JPG

My quiestion is that will SW2 respect/consider/will take any action/reply to the BPDUs it recieves from SW1 for VLAN1,2 and 3 as these are not activated on it? Same is for other switches. Can someone please draw the STP Topology for a VLAN say e.g, VLAN 1 ?

Dear Alain,

Thanks for your reply. But what I want to know is that how a switch will behave for a VLAN which is not activated on it but is activated on other switches. For example, what will be the STP Topology for VLAN 6, which is only activated on SW3 and SW5, but not on the SW4 in between them? Will SW4 respond to the VLAN 6 BPDU recieved from it's neighbors SW3 and SW5? And therefore, what will be the final topology for VLAN 6?

Also, what will be the STP Topology for VLAN 1 ?

Hi All,

Can someone please explain this to me a little bit ??
