Hi,
I would need to modify the DHCP scope of an IP subnet for a voice subnet to add a DHCP option to it.
I would like to check that when I make the changes on the DHCP scope, would the phones connected to this subnet
have a slight downtime during the change ?
I tend to think there 'will not be' any downtime since I am not touching the DHCP lease obtained and expired for the scope.
What are your thoughts ?
Thank you,
Cheers,

There should be no outage because as you rightly say the phones will already have received an IP with a lease. However obviously the phones will need to renew their DHCP address to get the new option.
