We are currently using a fiber WAN link but now setting up another link to the same ISP using another medium. I don't know how they will do it but is it possible to keep the same IP or the redundant link will have a different IP? How is it normally done if you take two redundant links from your ISP?

ip address 1.2.3.4
int fastethernet1

The second link will be setup the same as the first link. For example; your first link is fiber and connects to fa0 and your second link could be copper connecting to fa0/1. They will also provide you a /30 for your peering just like the first link.
I recommend you connect the second link to a different router if you have a second router in hand, this way you have link redundancy as well as router redundancy. Also, if the provider has provided you a public segment to use, you just the same segment for both link as well.
