Remote Span with VTP

Hi,

I'm trying to configure remote-span on my lab, my switches are configured with VTP ( on switch as server ,other are clients).

My issue is that I can't edit vlan to configure the remote-span.

I get this message

VTP VLAN configuration not allowed when device is not the primary server for vlan database.

any idea?

can you set the switch to 'vtp primary' ?

I activated vtp primary on one switch and yes I can edit vlan however remote-span need to be configured on all switches that packet will goes through , do I need to configure VTP primary in all other switches? if yes so what is the benefit or vtp in this case ?
