Remove router username config

hi all,

i'm updating our local user config as fallback for our TACACS access.

can someone advise if there's any impact on this as i'm getting the warning below?

what are the username related config? is it the generated RSA keys?

Router(config)#no username admin privilege 15 secret 5 $1$5OU4$Yi7c6ngk5O4qcNNYYuoIl1
This operation will remove all username related configurations with same name.Do you want to continue? [confirm]

this is a normal message since IOS 15.2 each time you delete a user.

i believe it's an IOS 15 thing.

i don't see this on older IOS.

Hi John,

Yes, that command only removes the admin username with the encrypted password. Should not have any impact in production as long you replace the statement with something else.

I have multiple usernames and want to remove specific usernames
