Replace Switch with higher capacity model Cisco 9300 Series

Hello,

We have a site that currently has a 9300-24P-A but this is now full so we want to replace it with a 9300-48P-A. I was just wondering what the steps are for this? I know the steps to replace a switch within a stack but since this is just a single switch, I am assuming there is a difference in the process?

@JackFrancis

It is more simple than Stack. You can copy the config from the privious switch and paste in the new switch. Then, replace the cables

 They are very similar in configuration

Hi Flavio,

We have this switch on DNAC and ISE as well? Would that not make it more complicated or would it just update the serial and device information once it boots up?

If the device is on DNAC only for monitoring, you can use the same IP address from the privious one and worst case maybe you need to discovery it again.

On ISE it will depend ,if you add the serial somewhere, then you need to update it.
