Replacing a stack switch cable

Hello Cisco Community,

I have a stack with three switches 3850, I replaced a faulty stack cable and switches 2 and 3 restarted, everything is working with no problems. My question is, did I did something wrong? or is it normal that the switches restarted?

- Provided you have a redundant-ring left ; they should not restart.

Up to cretin version of XE software, they will reboot; after version x , the fix was applied and switches do not reboot. check doc for version x number and spec
