Hi Carl,
Resiliency form network perspective is to have your production application up and running 24*7,in order to maintain that we used to desgin full redudancy network setup if one goes down the applications will not be affected and from system level means the infrastructre which host the application should also be considered with full reseliancy like dual power supply, dual NIC cards etc.
Hope to Help !!

can you give me some specific examples of this?

SSO,NSF be a hardware etc ?
