Router is not boot after rommon reset

Hi

I just power on 2951 Router and erase default configuration and reload after that router show username I write username Cisco password Cisco router show access deny.I did password break from rommon mode write reset command and show up characters that i cannot read. I can do nothing in this stage. It would be very appreciated if anyone helps to solve this problem.

Hi,

Try changing the baud rate to 9600 (default) while you are in Rommon and test again

Biplob,

Usually when you see garbage on the screen, it is baud rate issue.  Try a different one like 38400 and 115200 and test.

Cisco Configuration Professional (Cisco CP) is installed on this device.
This feature requires the one-time use of the username "cisco" with the
password "cisco". These default credentials have a privilege level of 15.

YOU MUST USE CISCO CP or the CISCO IOS CLI TO CHANGE THESE  PUBLICLY-KNOWN
CREDENTIALS

Here are the Cisco IOS commands.

username   privilege 15 secret 0
no username cisco

Replace and with the username and password you want
to use.

IF YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE PUBLICLY-KNOWN CREDENTIALS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE
TO LOG INTO THE DEVICE AGAIN AFTER YOU HAVE LOGGED OFF.

Ok, login with  username "cisco" and with the password "cisco".

Then go to config mode and create a new user name and password

Example:

username biplob privilege 15 secret 0 password biplob

then

no username cisco

now biplob username is your new one

Thanks .Sorry to late.cisco username and password was not working. After that I broke password from rommon. Now it's working.
