Does anyone know if Nexus (more specifically, Nexus 9504) supports RSPAN?
One of our customers has Cat 3K’s as access switches, and Nexus 9504’s as core.
I have a need to build/enable RSPAN, so that I can get packet capture from any source, anywhere.
Problem is the NXOS doesn’t seem to support the "remote-span" command under vlan, and I can’t find any NXOS config doc that says it’s supported.
TIA

From what I remember and looking at the 9k docs again they only support span and erspan, no rspan

Thank you Mark for confirming no RSPAN support on NXOS.
If you had a similar need, how would you solve this problem?
Is there actually a solution?

there is rspan on the 7Ks and I think 6s too but the 9ks are stripped down NX-OS there not a full feature set that's why there a lot cheaper too than 7s but missing some critical features still
could you not use a local span instead on each end rather than rspan across the network or layer 3 erspan if you have to go across the network
