Hi - Need help with our multicast design.
our company has two offices / regions.
Office 1: 10.150.x.x - 2 Nexus Switches N7K1 and N7K2 used as RPs
Office 2: 10.250.x.x. - 2 Nexus Switches N7K1 and N7K2 used as RPs
Both offices are connected over layer 3 link using EIGRP.
So EIGRP is configured inside offices network as well as between the offices.
Auto RP is configured everywhere - therefore N7K2 in office 1 is RP (auto elected).
As information is exchanged between networks over layer 3 EIGRP link, all devices even in office 2 have to go to office 1 N7K2 for RP communication.
We want office 1 to use their N7K switch as RP and office 2 to use their N7K as their RP and then these RPs should back up each other.
Can you please advice how / by which mechanism can achieve this ?
Just need a high level design overview. Thanks.
