A question to the community. Why not block a port with CATos if enabled the Port-Security with maximum 1 and if they violate the policy goes, it can be error or version that is the problem.
In these ports connect more than two computers and not off the port on a 6500 Switch
Can you help me solve this problem
The vesion is cat6000-sup32pfc3k9.8-7-2a.bin
used commands are:
SW (enable) set port security 3 / 1 enable
SW (enable) set port security 3 / 1 maximum 1
SW (enable) set port security 3 / 1 violation shutdown

Hi,
Voilation shutdown will block /shutdown the port if it gets voilated for mentioned amount of time if specifed,Like variable that specify the duration for which a port will remain disabled in case of a security violation; valid values are 0 (to disable) and from 1 to 1440 (minutes).
So if voilation shutdown can bring down the port !!
