Show Interface Status not showing ALL interfaces

I have a 7710 Nexus switch with 8 line cards in it. The line card in slot 8 is a  N77-F348XP-23. It has 48 ports. However, when I run a " show interface status" it only brings up Eth8/1 - Eth8/40. Ports 41 - 48 do not show up at all. Is this a bug or some other limitation in the NXOS?

I believe I found the answer. Under the VDC context config, the following was found:

Does anyone know if issuing the "allocate interface Ethernet8/1-48 is disruptive? Will the line card have to cycle?
