single VLAN network still disable VLAN 1 ?

Hello, if I am only using a single VLAN throughout my network, is it still advantageous to use a VLAN other than VLAN1 ?

i.e. shutdown VLAN1 L3 SVI, change the native VLAN from VLAN 1 to something else and change all access ports to something other than VLAN1 ?

I know this is certainly recommended practice in a multi-VLAN network, but is this still the case for a flat, single layer 2 network ?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, that is still a recommended practice.

You also can consider your options with some pragmatism.  If you are a small company with a single switch and all users are of a similar level of trust then you probably wouldn't bother.
