Software License

Hello everyone

We need a new 3850-48T-E . Our staffs bought one but there are some noticeable things :

1. There is a License claim paper in box to upgrade from LAN Base to IP Services

2. There is no Stack Power cable in the box ( As you know, Cisco doesn't put Stack power cable in box of LAN Base series )

3. There's a lable on switch beside S/N which shows the switch is 48T-E

So what do you think ? Is it an upgraded 48T-L to 48T-E or a factory 48T-E model!

How can we recognize license is upgraded or factory fabric. We didn't turn on switches yet

When your staff bought this switch did they get it from Cisco, from a reseller, or from a web site, or what? When your staff bought this switch did they request an IP Services license or a BAN BASE license? If you received an invoice or other billing material about the switch did it specify anything about license?

The best way to determine what license is applied is to turn on the switch and when it is running to check what license it is using.
