Hello
Can someone tell me about F release vs M release and so on please?
I'm referring to Nexus OS if it makes a difference.
Many thanks

Hi Anthony!
NX-OS software releases that end with an "F" (e.g. 10.2(1)F, 10.2(2)F, etc.) are "feature releases", which typically include new features and support for new hardware. NX-OS software releases that end with an "M" (e.g. 10.2(4)M, 10.2(5)M, etc.) are "maintenance releases", which prioritize fixed to software defects and resolve security vulnerabilities.
For more information, I highly recommend reviewing the Cisco NX-OS Software Lifecycle Support Statement document, which has more information on the different types of NX-OS software releases, as well as the typical lifecycle of an NX-OS software release.
I hope this helps - thank you!
