Hi folks,

Just wanna know a simple query.

Can a 48 port 3750 catalyst switch be stacked to 24 port 3750?

Please reply at the earliest.

Yes you can as long as you follow this rule-of-thumb:

1.  All switches in a stack should have THE SAME IOS VERSION;

2.  All switches in a stack should have THE SAME FEATURE SET;

3.  Power down the new stack member, cable the stack and apply power.  Not powering down and stacking the new stack member will cause the stack master to reboot.  This is not a bug.  This is a feature.

if i have two 3750X switches to be connected to act as a single stack , in power stacking , how the stacking POWER cables are to be connected ??

A )  Switch 1 - Pwrslot-1 to Switch 2 Pwrslot-2

      Switch 1 - Pwrslot-2 to switch 2 Pwrslot-1

B )  Switch 1 - Pwrslot-1 to Switch 2 Pwrslot-1

      Switch 1 - Pwrslot-2 to switch 2 Pwrslot-2

Which one is correct ? A or B ???
