Hello everybody,

I am newbies with setting cisco switch.

We bought a Catalyst 2960-x series.
I downloaded Catalyst 2960-X Switch Getting Started Guide but I can't access to Device Manager - Express Setup according to guide.

After following guide, all LED as SYST, STAT, SPEED, MAST and STACK stay green, except the LED of RPS which is off.

I use configuration via Ethernet port 1 (and also on MGM port). And my PC got correct IP... 10.0.2.2 (on Ethernet port1).
When I use internet explorer (on windows 7 and 10) to access https://10.0.0.1, I get pop up window about username and password. I put only cisco as password always according to guide. But I access to Switch Home Page with these topics:

Cisco Systems

Accessing Cisco WS-C2960X-48TS-L "Switch"

        Telnet.....

        Show interface....

        Show diagnostic log...

        Monitore the router.....

        Show tech-support....

        Extended Ping....

        Web Console....

and Help Resources.

PS: I attached a screenshot of page which appears

HTML folder is present. The web page should be viewable.
Otherwise, use CLI because there are more features available than HTML.

thanks for trying to help me @Leo Laohoo

After your yesterday last post, I tried myself to find solution because my deadline for beginning test is today.

I found some Catalyst 2960 Switch Cisco IOS command. And I used the setup privileged EXEC command to configure the switch with its initial configuration.

I am currently connected via a network cable switched by Catalyst 2960 that I could not setted via the HTML interface.

So I did my best to setup via PuttY software with serial cable (USB A to mini-USB B).

But I always don't know why express-setup with HTML interface don't work as according in Catalyst 2960-X and 2960-XR Switch Getting Started Guide (French version) .

Here are my running configuration (the values I modified with PuTTY are in [bold font]):

Output

Command base-URL was: /level/15/exec/-
Complete URL was:/level/15/exec/-/show/running-config/CR
Command was: show running-config
