Statc or dynamic IP address

Hi friend

I need  to check the connected device is having static IP address or dynamic IP address assigned in Cisco 2960 switch.

IP tried with show arp .but it not shows static or dynamic.

Hi

That's because its a layer 2 device and has very basic arp table of connected interfaces , go to the device which is acting as layer 3 (routing) and check the arp table there it will show you full arp table

aswell arp table wont show you whats static check your dhcp pools instead see whats excluded they will be your static ips
