1>presently the switches(2960) are of different series and new switches are 3750, i need to swap the switches without any downtime .

Remove SW1 from stack and replace it with 3750 since the server links are redundant they will lose one Ethernet port/teaming but they will not be down completely and 3750 should have configuration that 2960 had and then remove the other 2960 and replace it with 3750.

Can i do it this way.??

1)   We are going to introduce new switches CE12800 (SW-3 and SW-4) in to the network (trunk link between new/old switches) new switches will not have any configuration.

2)   Will be connecting SW-3 with SW-1 and SW-4 with SW-2 back to back.

3)   Enable STP and pass the VLAN’s to the SW-3 and SW4 that will close the circuit. (Huawei (old switch)-Interface (STP)-------Interface(STP)Huawei(New), under trunk interface on new switch remove default VLAN and add new VLANS.( vlan batch x to y)

4)   Take a free IP from the network and assign a laptop and check for connectivity

5)    Next step is moving all down links of SW-2  to new SW-4  

6)    *** now sw2 will have only the upper links (SW to uplinks) *** and all the server connectivity (L2) will be there in the SW-4)

7)    Activity 2 : migrate all ( upper connectivity ) to the SW-4 (uplinks)

8)    Now SW-4 will have both down and upper connectivity and connectivity with SW-2

9)    Isolate SW-2 by removing the connectivity between SW-2 to SW-1 and SW-2 and SW-4  and configure the SW-2 IP to SW-4(management)

10) Now our network has SW-1, SW-3, & SW-4 ... SW-2 is removed from the network

11) Then same way swap the SW-1 to SW-3

**** Every time when we isolate link from old SW we need check for the redundancy on the other old SW ****

****During shifting the links from Old switch to new, it requires physical/Manual activity of shifting the links and removing VLAN configuration from old switch and configure on new switch and there will not be any downtime as traffic will be passing through active old S1****

You can do it the way as well you mentioned above or you can do it by pre-configuring the switch and attaching it directly to the cloud uplink that will save you some time. All the best.

this is where u will get minimum downtime, can we really do it without downtime.

1.removing stack link will cause mac flapping n traffic will impact.

2.when you delete the previous gateway and configure new gateway on.

3.new gateway need to learn arp table when you delete the previous gateway and configure new gateway on CE12800
