Switch C9200L snmpv3

Hello,

we're starting with CatCenter (v2.3.7.9) and we've some Switches 2960X and 9200L.

I can manage both Models bot on the 9200 I've got Issues with snmpv3:

Every few Minutes I get Message %SNMP-3-AUTHFAIL: Authentication failure for SNMP req from host $CCenter.

In the Device-Logs on CCenter a lot of Messages DEVICE_AVAILABILITY:REACHABLE and DEVICE_AVAILABILITY:PING_REACHABLE

One of the 9200 I've updatet from 17.9.5 to 17.12.5 (from the CatCenter), nothing changed

the snmpv3 User is in a Group with write access, another snmpv3 user from a Monitoring System with read access is working fine, so the snmp Configuration is working fine

The netconf-yang status is fine.

Do you have any hints, where to look for the Issue?

Thanks a lot

Karl

I guess the reason was the snmp engine ID.

when I remove snmp users, groups and engine ID and reenter groups and users, there's a new engine ID and failures are gone

Is there's a way for the CC to work with the existing ID?

we are currently only provisioning existent devices

Sorry but can I ask something

You run 2960x with CCC? Is it fully work?

As I know this old SW not support Integration with CCC

Thanks

sure, the Functions are limited, but I see EOL Status, Software, Device Infos, that's ok, I guess I can manage Software-Updates, will try next.

the 2960X don't have netconf

If you are looking in the Compatibility Matrix, you see the Details
