Switch Port Uplinks (1 Trunk and 1 Routed)

We have currently 2 uplinks to 4948 switch and both are trunk links.Now we have an issue running routing protocol over nexus vPC so we have configure L3 uplinks.

Is it possible to keep converting one by one uplink to L3 (Routed port),Enable Eigrp routing without loosing the connectivity to the switch

1) Convert uplink1 to L3 don't touch the uplink2 (Leave as trunk)

2) Once the above configuration working with uplink1 L3 then convert uplink2 also L3 and enable routing

Hello,

I guess this should work though i have not done this personally before.

Few things I would suggest.

1. Check who is the vpc operation secondary(sh vpc)

2. Shut the ports between that and the 4948 and remove from bundle.

3. Configure it as L3 and establish neighborship.

4. Once it is done, move to the other port.

However i highly recommend to do this in MW to avoid unforeseen issues.
