I'm currently using a 3550-12T as a core router for my small network. I'm wanting to upgrade to something newer that runs an IOS that supports WCCP2.
I need layer 3 functionality with at least 10 - GigE ports.
Any recommendations?
Thx

Hi,
You can use a 3560X. it will provide you with 10Gig uplinks or 1 Gig uplinks. It will also work as layer-2 and layer-3
Here is the data sheet:

Hi,
This link might interest you.
3550 WCCP2:
=========
- 3550 running Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1(11)EA1a supports WCCP 2.
Also I can see from the release notes that 3750 switches supports WCCP 2.
IOS version:
========
12.2_52_SE
Switches:
========
3750 series.
Datasheet for 3750 Switches:

++ If you looking for higher range of switches you can go for 4500 or 6500 series.
Hope this helps..

Can you be more specific?
You currently have a 3550-12T so that means that you have ten 10/100/1000BaseTx. Do you want to have access ports as copper or fibre?
How many 10Gb do you need?
If you need only two then I'd recommend the 3560E-12SD (no stack-able switch model) or 3750X-12S or 3750X-24S. The 3560E-12D can support up to twelve 10Gb interface.
If you want your access ports to be copper then you have alot of choices. 3560E/X, 3750E/X are likely candidates.
