We have a Cisco switch. It take a long time to response, about 6 seconds, after sending command to this switch. The cup and memory space are normal. The neighbors device around the switch have rapid response so that we think the connections to the switch should be normal. Any suggestions to this issue? Thank you

Check the CPU to make sure it is not running very high. "sh process cpu sort" or "sh process cpu sort | exc 0.00"
Also, have you enabled any new features on the switch lately?

Thank you for your reply. This is a old switch 3560. but other same model can work well
cup and memory capacity is good enough to support the switch.

If CPU is not running high, for testing, you may want to reboot it and see if that issue goes away.

Do you have the same slow response to commands when you access the switch using console as when you access using telnet/SSH? If response to telnet/SSH is slow but console is not then I would look for some issues with the path to the switch, perhaps something like a duplex mismatch that might cause frames to be dropped and retransmitted.

Post the complete output to the following commands:
sh version sh proc cpu sort | ex 0.00 sh log
