test cable-diagnostics tdr command

Can anyone tell me if issuing the test cable-diagnostics tdr command on a Catalyst 4507 will take the port down? If so how long for?

I have been asked to test a port that connects to a server but I'm not sure if issuing this command will disrupt service.

Yes it will disrupt coms on the port for the duration of the test which should be just a few seconds.
