unable to configure a PPPoE client on an Ethernet subinterface on a 1801

I'm not able to configure a pppoe client on a ethernet subinterface on my cisco1801 router in this way

 

interface fastethernet0/0.100 

encap dot1Q 100
pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1

cisco said that is possible to Configure a PPPoE Client in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(13)T, 12.4T, and Later Releases
