Previously I'm able to login to web based manager(http://192.168.1.1 pre-set) but after I did the "erase startup-config" & "reload" the switch System LED is in Amber state. I followed the guideline to reset switch to factory by Turn on and hold Setup button and wait for the Amber LED then release. LAN port 1 LED light up and I connect to a PC using Straight Thru cable and set the PC IP 169.254.0.2 gateway 169.254.0.1 according to guideline but stil not able to connect to http://169.254.0.2, is it /24?? I also tried to set my PC IP to Auto and DNS to 127.0.0.1 but same thing, unable to get IP for my PC.
I noticed that System is Amber and Setup is Green all the way, the System just won't turn Green no matter how long I waited. Is it firmware corrupted?
Some info:
I'm runnig windows 7;
Catalyst Express 500
WS-CE500-24TT
IOS 12.2(25)SEG
#Alert no light
#System Amber
#Setup Green

Hi,
I'm managed to get in finally. I found an post in the Internet, saying that plug in the LAN cable and press Setup button in order to get the IP address. But I couldn't find this step in Cisco official guide which is very important.
