Unable to download Office files after one switch

Hai,

My Lan like ADSL Modem --> Proxy Server --> 2950 Switch1 --> 2950 Switch2 ---> 2950 Switch3 --> |Iam|

From where i am connected to internet from there i am unable to download any MS-Office files (like Word,Excel etc..) from any mail ID, at the same i am able download remaining files like pdf or exe. But before the 2950 Switch3, i.e clients connected to 2950 Sqitch1 or 2 they are able to download all files.

What will be the problem?

This is most likely an issue with the Proxy. I think it uses authentication from an AD or something similar.

The case is likely that your user profile does not have the correct privileges to download the extensions you mention.

Try it with another user account on your PC or log on as yourself at another workstation.

But we have authentication just subnet mask only, nothing else. at 1st and 2nd switches connected clients are able to download all files where 3rd switches clients are able expect Office files.
