I am glad that you got your problem resolved. I am quite surprised that the issue turned out to be something in the connection from the PC to the router. But if the problem is resolved that is the most important thing. Perhaps you can now mark the question as resolved?

Reza

Hi Reza,

I was connecting by serial cable.

When i did console connection by serial end to laptop it was showing tty665 connection not console connection.

When i try to put enable  it do search for DNS  try to resolve enable.

Thanks

Mahesh,

If you have an IP address configured on one of the Ethernet interfaces try telnet.

Also, what happens when you connect via console and reboot the router?

Hi Reza,

I tired telnet from another Router here is info

Mahesh,

It looks good.  If you are not able to get to enable mode, it is because you have set up an enable password.  Now, if you don't remember the password, then you need to do a password recovery on your device.  Here is the link to it:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_password_recovery09186a0080094675.shtml

Hi Reza,

I never set the enable password but i will follow your link to set the enable password.

Thanks

I see the error when you attempt to get to enable mode from the telnet session. And if the enable password is not set this would be the expected behavior for telnet. But from the console I would expect different behavior. Can you try again from the console session to go to enable mode and if it does not work can you cut and paste the messages output when you try?

[edit]

it also occurs to me to ask whether you configured any aaa new-model or any other configuration commands about loging authentication?

Hi all,

I am able to get to enable mode now.

Issue was with serial port connection on PC.

Used USB connection on PC  it worked fine.
