Unable to ping IP

Hello everyone!

We have just installed a Sv8300 phone switch and configured it with a xxx.xxx.102.3 ip address.  it is connected to a port on a CISCO 3750.  The switch is connected to a 2800 router.  I am able to ping within the LAN but not outside not even in the router.  Any ehlp would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alfred

Given these symptoms the first thing that I would suggest is that you should check the IP address, mask, and especially the default gateway and be sure that they are correct.

If you are able to ping the devices connected to the switch but not the router there are a few possibilities.

1. Subnet mask is different than the router.

2. Router is on a different VLAN than the phone system.

3. Potentially a Private VLAN configuration on the switch

4. A VLAN ACL

5. A device that is doing proxy arp

We need more details to troubleshoot.

What is the IP of the phone switch?

What is the mask of the phone switch?

What is the IP and mask of the router?

Can you get configurations from the 3750?

Thank you everyone for all your help.  The issue was with the way the

voice switch was configured.

Thanks again!!
