Simple topology
MSFC -> ACE
The above is in redundant design i.e. two 6500 chassis. MSFC has HSRP defined where all the VLANs/SVI are active only on Chassis 1. ACE is in bridged mode and the host is connected to the server lan.
When ACE is active on the primary leg, I am able to ping the SVI on MSFC from the host. However, when I failover the ACE via 'force failover group #' ping to SVI fails. The 'sh ft group brief' shows failover to be successful.
Please advise why would a ping stop working with ACE force failover.
