Unable to ping Server ip address located in other location

Hi All,

I have a query. Unable to ping Server ip address located in other location,

unable to ping server ip from GB site to Horw site, server is located at Horw site. when try to ping from LAN/Access switch it will not ping, but i can ping from Wan router i.e. connected to ISP.

Hi Sunil,

When you say ping LAN switch, is that a layer 3 switch?

Do you have route to that server from the switch.

sh ip route <server ip>

Madhu,

We dont have route to server from switch and i checked i can able to ping and see route from WAN router (i.e connected ISP), but not from switch.

Yes. Layer 3 switch and no routes configured in the our switch and we have configured access list in switch.

Do you have a default route to your router from this switch?

Are you able to ping any ip from this switch?
