Understand ASR9k redistribute OSPF into MPBGP

Hello ,

In a customer ASR9k router , i see in a particular vrf  OSPF E1 is able to redistribute into MPBGP.

In another vrf, OSPF E2 is not not able to.

I do not have the access to change/test the configuration.

Customer only configure under bgp

          redistribute ospf 4

There seems to be inconsistent info in the docs for IOS and ASR9K. I have not been able to understand the OSPF superbackbone fully what should be the appropriate behaviour. Is there also problem in the ASR9k documentation ?

IOS guide for redistribute OSPF to BGP

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/iproute_bgp/command/reference/irg_bgp4.html#wp1145787

The default is internal and external 1.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/asr9000/software/routing/command/reference/rrasr9kbgp.html#wp1376447">http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/asr9000/software/routing/command/reference/rrasr9kbgp.html#wp1376447

For the external and nssa-external options, if a type is not specified, then both Type 1 and Type 2 are assumed.

For OSPF, the default is to redistribute internal, external, and NSSA external routes of Type 1 and Type 2.
