I am assuming this is a no straight off the bat, but i just inherited a network with a nexus 3000 series switch that i am able to get console to, but dont know the admin or any password. Is there a way to reset this without destroying the switches current config? I.e factory reset.

Hi @c.lennox ,

Try the following password recovery procedure.

Hi Chaps.

Thanks for your replies. I will give these a go on Monday. However am I right in assuming that both methods require login to the console, not just console access with a login prompt? Bear in mind that i dont have ANY logins at all for this switch. Also, i am not able to reboot this switch as it is in production. Bit of a pickle i know. This is why the previous team were asked to leave.

you need to pull the power cord and do the as suggested steps
