Upgrade of 6500

I must upgrade to “s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI4.bin”.  The requirement for this IOS is for Minimum Memory: DRAM:512 MB  Flash:512 MB.

I have 512MB DRAM.

Is the Flash requirement a combined flash total of the entire chassis?  I have 256MB in Disk0, 128MB in Disk1, 64MB in bootflash, and 64MB in sup-bootflash to give a total of 512MB.

Is that safe to upgrade?

Thanks!

This image takes 115Megs (115807.0 KB) so if you do some cleanup it should fit on your 256megs disk0.

Hi,

  I have 256MB in Disk0, 128MB in Disk1, 64MB in bootflash, and 64MB in sup-bootflash to give a total of 512MB.>

You cannot combine all these different flash cards together and make one.  You need to have 512 on your disk0 or disk1.

If you are running a modular code the size is about 146Mb, and for none-modular, it is about 116Mb.  You could give it try and loaded it in your disck0, but the recommendations as you noted is to have 512.
