upgrade to k9 version for ssh require licence or not

I am running cat4500-entservices-mz.122-53.SG5.bin image on cisco 4948 switch and need to upgrade the IOS to support ssh.

Is there any licence required for this

Hi there,

You shouldn't need to purchase a separate license to get the K9 image.  As long as you have smartnet on your 4948, you should be able to obtain the K9 image from the download area.
