Upgrading from C3KX-NM-1G to C3KX-NM-1G on C3560-24P-S/C3560-48P-S

Hello

We recently added two new Cisco switches(been using it for 3 months now), WS-C3560X-24P-S and WS-C3560X-48P-S ( they both had C3KX-NM-1G on them)

We are about changing to 10G because of need and want to order for C3KX-NM-10G network modules.

I know I would have to change the SFP to SFP+ but my major concern is the network module.

At the current state the switches just have the ports enabled and no serious configurations on them ( they are basically serving as hubs). The 1G SPF is working perfectly well.

Please would we just pull out the C3KX-NM-1G and replace with C3KX-NM-10G?

Is there any configurations that need to be consider?

Your urgent advised is required as I need to resolve this a soon as possible.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony,

This is a very simple change.  Turn off the switch, take the 1Gig module out and put in the 10Gig module.  Turn on the switch and configure the 10Gig ports the same as the 1Gig ports.

That is all.
